Suggested Web Site Addition

1 Attachment(s)
I’m trying to put together some web site enhancement ideas. I think it would be a great idea to add a section specific to showing our layouts. Thought I would share my thoughts on how the new section could look and see what you think is workable. This type of site surfing is something I enjoy finding when looking at other clubs sites. I am always curious about their layouts and the 'look'.:)

Note that this is my first try at uploading an MS-Word file that I had to zip due to attachment size limitations. The max 'doc' file on our web site is 19.5 kb but mine was 25 kb (one page document with some graphics) so off to the zipper I went. If there is a no show on this attachment it's due to snow in Minnisota!

Billy can we have this file size limit increased?

Bruce, I like your idea, sounds great. One thing about the names of industries. Phil dirt is good, but manual labor and Phil just do not go together for some reason. What are friends for.

I'm not afraid of hard work, Bob.
I can lay down and go to sleep right next to it... :D

Great idea, Bruce. We have an HO member, Jim Keen, who is knowledgeable about web pages and has offered to help with ours. I see Billy as the overall technical consultant, but don't expect him to have to do everything himself. Perhaps Jim can help set this up if he knows how. We could also include progressive reports of modules under construction, such as General Strickland's military site. Of course, members can set up tours of their own layouts at home. We might even offer to post area non-member layouts if they are especially nice. This might get some who have not joined, or have become relatively inactive, to get interested. Of course, not everyone has a digital camera or is good at photography, so maybe Phil or Charlie or someone else in our club with good photographic skills could visit the layouts and shoot some scenes for posting.
