"AmericaN" N-scale FREEMO Module group

All-

Check out an N-Scale German club that operates American prototype fine-scale modules built to the FREEMON (N-scale FREEMO) standards. Pretty amazing modeling. One feature you notice right away is point-to-point from staging with prototype-based track arrangements and usually single-track main with DCC.

Here are some of their modules...

Go to their home link for the standards if you want to see them.

They had a show recently, "20 years of N scale modular railroading at the FREMO". Here is a link. Most text is in German, but you can get the gist of it.

They were in the last issue of N-Scale Railroading, showing how they dispatch their layouts from miles away using special radios connected to the Internet.

One of their members contacted me and asked if anybody I know might be interested in dispatching some during their next show via their system as they operate in Germany!

Anybody that wants more info, e-mail me and I'll put you in touch with him.

They are wanting to operate in English to be more prototypical!

The world is getting smaller all the time...

Hope you enjoy,

-Phil
